Scanner Art

Utilizing extant technologies to make art is not new. Thomas Barrow used a copy machine to create original works, called the Verifax Prints. The late German novelist W.G. Sebald used the photocopier to intentionally degrade his photography prints which he used in his books, as a way to approximate the mercurial nature of memory. Wade Guyton used wide-format printers to create original works, sometimes manipulating the printer to create interesting "happy accidents".

I also used a printer to make originals with my Vellum Prints.
