Slippages
Like vintage cars, the good cameras come out for the holidays. Slow shutter images are just easier to do than fumbling with a phone and software settings.
For a non-skater, these images would be his POV. They are also somewhat painterly--another kind of "slippage" between painting and photography--with the ice as a metaphor for a gessoed canvas.
The other thing I noticed was how drab and colorless most people's clothing is. It was difficult to capture any color, as only a few were wearing bright colors.
