I took this photograph because it looked abstract expressionist--that it could have been done by Robert Motherwell, or perhaps Rothko, as well as by a conceptual artist, stenciling "PAINTED 11-08" on it for clever self-reference. The more I changed the levels the more it actually looked like a painting or assemblage (painterealism as opposed to photorealism).
0003(04). You should still treat a photograph like a painting. You wouldn't want to make hundreds a day and scatter them around. Photos should be taken as seriously as other forms of art.
